Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
The Commercial Process Excellence Manager leads cross-functional process and technology improvements across Commercial and Customer Operations. Partnering with business and IT leaders, this role simplifies and standardizes ways of working, improves customer and operational outcomes, delivers measurable value, and builds a strong culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute the commercial process excellence strategy, roadmap, and governance model.
- Assess current processes, design future-state solutions, and prioritize high-value improvement opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives that improve customer experience, productivity, profitability, compliance, and operational performance.
- Partner with business and IT teams to define requirements, guide implementation, support adoption, and deliver sustainable results.
- Establish performance measures and value-tracking methods to demonstrate and sustain business impact.
- Coach and develop the Commercial Process Specialists team while strengthening continuous improvement capabilities across the organization.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in process management, business process improvement, commercial or customer operations, order-to-cash, project management, or related transformation roles.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional business and IT initiatives from assessment through implementation and adoption.
- Strong knowledge of commercial processes, process design, governance, data, technology enablement, and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, design, and improve processes that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams.

Experiences/Education - Desired
- SAP Order-to-Cash expertise across pre-sales, order fulfillment, pricing, supply chain, logistics, and billing.
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Hybris, or similar ERP, CRM, customer operations, or digital commerce platforms.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training or certification.
- Experience leading global process standardization, adoption, or transformation initiatives.

The range for this position is $164,855.00 - $226,676.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
