Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategy creation and execution of the local community affairs efforts with focus on racial equality in the communities surrounding Corning Incorporated locations in North Carolina.
  • Research community needs and develop initiatives for community affairs office to address across Raleigh/Durham and surrounding areas. Create specific milestones and performance metrics to track impact and effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Partner with internal diversity initiatives, national initiatives and local agencies and organizations to help close the gap among racial groups in our local communities and positively impact the socioeconomic stratification within our communities.
  • Develop staffing/partnership strategy with local agencies to execute initiatives.
  • Research and advise on racial equality issues relevant to communities where Corning Incorporated employees live.

 

Direct reports: No direct reports but will have responsibility to direct project work through community-based collaborations and internal collaborations

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
