Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Join us for a one-year immersion into our manufacturing and technology organizations, where you will gain essential skills and knowledge in Optical Communications while sharpening your engineering skills. This unique opportunity will serve as the cornerstone of your successful transition into a role that offers the chance to lead future innovations and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and Apply Optical Communications Fundamentals: Develop a strong foundation in Optical Communications through hands-on engineering experiences and specialized training.
- Leadership Development: Build on your existing leadership experience, as you work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate with professionals at all levels of the organization to enhance your ability to effectively and efficiently problem solve, manage conflicts, and drive performance execution towards established organizational goals.
- Innovation and Design: Cultivate your interest in innovation, prototyping, and the design of products and processes as you contribute to cutting-edge projects.
- Manufacturing and Operations: Explore your passion interest in manufacturing and operations, gaining valuable insights into the processes that drive our success.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: 4-7 years of relevant experience in the military.
- Leadership: 2-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Highly motivated with exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Conflict management expertise.
- Capability to direct and inspire others to achieve established organizational objectives.
- Ability to provide strong leadership to a team.

The range for this position is $82,974.00 - $114,090.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
