  • In this role, the candidate will contribute to the company’s privacy program and processes. The candidate will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify privacy risk, assess the security controls around privacy data, and address privacy compliance requirements. This role will be responsible for operational aspects of Corning’s Binding Corporate Rules framework including conducting privacy impact assessments/data protection impact assessments, fulfilling consumer rights requests, and maintaining privacy technology platforms. The candidate should have knowledge of privacy concepts/governance, information security controls, privacy compliance requirements, and the ability to apply these concepts within their work environment.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct privacy impact assessments in partnership with business/technology stakeholders and facilitate closing of gaps.
  • Provide support for data privacy assessments and remediation activities including training and guidance to entity personnel as appropriate.
  • Fulfill consumer rights requests by monitoring request queues and working with business/technology stakeholders to ensure complete/accurate request fulfillment.
  • Monitor and respond to operational privacy events such as those generated through Corning’s Data Loss Prevention capabilities.
  • Maintain privacy technology platforms through user administration, report creation, requirements implementation, and control/request monitoring.



  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Management Information Systems, Business.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Privacy, Technology governance, risk, and compliance.
  • CIPP certification preferred.
  • CIPT certification preferred.
