The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
The Data Quality Lead ensures the integrity, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data by establishing standardized business processes, partnering with data domain stewards, and translating business needs into actionable data quality rules. This role drives cross-functional data quality initiatives, supports governance maturity, leads Agile project activities, and contributes technical insights to data quality operations. This position plays a critical role in enabling enterprise data excellence, strengthening master data processes, and ensuring data meets the needs of business stakeholders across Corning.

Key Responsibilities
Data Quality & Business Process Governance
• Ensure standardized business processes are consistently followed across all functional areas contributing to master data.
• Partner with data domain stewards to identify, correct, and prevent data errors while maintaining strong data quality KPIs.
• Translate business requirements and processes into logical, testable data quality rules.
• Author, maintain, and enhance data quality rules to align with evolving business needs.
• Lead data quality change management efforts across global teams.
Agile & Project Leadership
• Lead Agile Scrum activities for SAP data quality projects, including workshops and sprint ceremonies (e.g., using Planview AgilePlace).
• Maintain Agile boards, track progress, conduct follow-ups, and report updates to leadership.
• Drive data quality improvement initiatives across functions including Supply Chain, Engineering, Pricing, Customer Care, PLM, and Finance.
• Facilitate alignment meetings with data stewards and assign deliverables to business data owners.
Governance & Policy Development
• Collaborate with the COC Data Governance team to develop enterprise-wide governance documentation and standards.
• Translate business requirements into data controls and support rule development within SAP Information Steward.
Technical & Operational Contributions
• Approve and coordinate monthly workflow updates in Decisions software.
• Lead documentation, rule setting, and process definition for Master Data Objects.
• Monitor RPAs, SAP Information Steward rules, and Databricks-based governance solutions to ensure ongoing data quality compliance.
• Apply SQL skills to support SAP IS rule development and troubleshooting.
• Support organizations with uPerform documentation and training requests.
Required Experience & Education
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· 5+ years of experience in Data Management or Data Quality.
· Hands-on experience with data quality systems and tools.
· Project management experience, with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
· SAP experience, particularly in master data management.
· Ability to lead and influence teams across global regions without direct authority.
· Strong ability to simplify complex scenarios and navigate ambiguity.
· Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated success influencing diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
· Proven ability to establish direction, manage multiple workstreams, develop strategies, and execute effectively.
· Strong change management and performance leadership skills.
· Assertive, results-driven, and fluent in written and spoken English.
· Ability to escalate systemic issues (definition conflicts, ownership gaps, source system issues) appropriately.
Desired Qualifications
· Experience with SAP master data governance and data quality tools.
· Familiarity with SQL, Databricks, automation workflows, and RPA monitoring.
· Experience supporting enterprise governance documentation and processes.

The range for this position is $100,259.00 - $137,857.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
