Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Overview
Our Optical Communications division of Corning Incorporated is seeking a highly motivated Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing team in Charlotte, NC. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute marketing plans across digital channels (including social media, email marketing, and web content). This position plays a major role in optimizing our digital presence to drive website traffic and conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Web: Create web plans and present recommended page layouts to stakeholders based on content strategy and page objectives. Analyze website traffic and metrics to optimize user experience and increase conversions. Manage web request que to meet required timelines from partners. Actively review page analytics and solve for any UX/UI issues that are found.
- Paid Social: Responsible for managing and consulting on paid social media campaigns. Collaborate with stakeholders to manage new social media content and align marketing campaign objectives to paid efforts.
- Email Marketing: Assist in the creation of email marketing campaigns to external customers. Work with regional teams to create email content and assist in proofing content prior to execution.
- Project Management: Manage stakeholder requests and project timelines through Adobe Workfront. Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines at once. A high level of organization will be necessary in this role.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Monitor daily performance metrics with SEMRush and Google Analytics to understand SEO performance. Optimize new and existing pages to improve SEO. Perform ongoing keyword research, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
- Reporting & Accountability: Review, analyze and report on campaign results, user behavior and functionality while researching new trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Special Projects: Will be asked to contribute to and support additional strategic marketing initiatives as they emerge.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field with 3-5 years of experience in Digital Marketing.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with project management and managing stakeholder expectations in a tool like Workfront or JIRA.
- Extensive experience with Google Analytics and SEO tools (i.e. BrightEdge, SEMrush).
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems and web standards.
Desired/Preferred Skill
- Knowledge of web development principles and web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AEM.
- Experience with SEM and AdWords is a plus.
- Experience with Adobe systems (i.e. Adobe Experience Manager, Marketo, Photoshop).
- Passionate about technology and staying up to date with current digital trends.
- Multilingual is a plus.

The range for this position is $80,083.00 - $110,115.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
