The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

 

Scope of Position:

This role is responsible for creating and executing end user compute solutions and goals for Corning Enterprise. This leader defines the standards, roadmaps, and technologies for end user devices. The Director of End User Compute works under the Division Vice President, Global Infrastructure and will collaborate closely with other Digital and IT leaders, to improve device modernization and ensure the end user compute technologies support business growth. This person will lead the endpoint management systems, patching and compliance and virtual client support models.

 

Education and Experience:

  • 10 years relevant IT experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 5+ years of executive technical leadership of engineers and technicians delivering solutions for large enterprise systems.
  • 5+ years of responsibility for global teams of 50+ resources (engineers, field services, executive support, and conferencing) and budgets of $20M+.
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing business requirement and mapping existing and emerging technologies to address the business needs.

 

Required Skills:

  • Deep understanding of End Point Management and IT Service Management systems including Microsoft and Service Now platforms.
  • Solution design expertise including requirements gathering, trade study analysis, implementation planning and agile project management.
  • Management Experience for SaaS and Cloud Platform solutions including M365, AWS, and Device Management, and Support tools.
  • IoT and Mobile Device deployment and management including conference room technology, Windows 11, MacOS, iOS, Android, and Metrics systems dashboards.
  • Demonstrated background in IT Service Management and leading a global workforce.
  • Skilled at assessing and developing IT talent supporting across multiple time zones and multiple business domains.

 

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Based in either Charlotte, NC or Corning, NY
  • Up to 25% travel, domestic and international

The range for this position is $176,785.00 - $243,080.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
