Purpose of the Position:

  • Support for closing, forecast and reporting processes for all STRAN Entities, Engineering Service & and new acquisitions.
  • Support and implement all SOX related initiatives related to STRAN Entities and Engineering Service.
  • Finance support to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and roof consolidations.
  • Participation on project-level working teams for ERP implementations. Collaborate with functional experts, and preparation of financial analysis for internal use.

Description:

  • Support all financial aspects of the acquisition process such as transaction reporting, purchase price true-up adjustments etc.
  • Partner across Divisions and functions with Division /Business Unit managers, ACR, Tax, Treasury and external due diligence providers (as required) to develop and execute due diligence scopes and target assessments
  • Lead the finance function for STRAN Entities, Engineering Service and be a key member / decision maker of the management staff and report on key operational and accounting metrics (recurring and ad-hoc)
  • Monitor project results to ensure accuracy and understanding of reported results. Assist in preparation of financial reporting requirements including Greenbook & Blackbook process.
  • Ensure a strong internal control environment. Comply with GAAP and Corning accounting policies. Assist with documentation in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
  • Serves as consultant/financial expert to entities on matters pertaining to policy, plans, projects (capital, PEx, etc.) and objectives.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Commerce / Science or equivalent technical degree
  • MBA/CPA a plus
  • Proven knowledge of US GAAP & Sarbanes Oxley
  • 7+ years total experience
  • System knowledge a plus (PeopleSoft, Khalix, SAP)
