Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Position Purpose:
Support the Hyperscale Datacenters Application Insight Research Manager with the capture, documentation, analysis, and maintenance of application insights for Hyperscale Datacenter operators and other customers deploying AI networks. Work with the Application Insight Research Solution Innovations team and broader Hyperscale Datacenter organization to identify customer problem statements that can be addressed with differentiated optical solutions.
Requirements:
- Degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Business Field or related
- Strategic mindset with sound analytical, financial modelling and planning capabilities
- Well-organized, process oriented, systematic approach to problem solving with strong commercial and business acumen
- Articulate written and verbal communicator
- Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy, effective working in high-performing cross-functional teams
Desired:
- MBA
- At least 2 years working in a similar role
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a process for capturing Hyperscale Datacenters insights from all customer/industry facing COC teams (eg. Sales, Market Development, Solution Innovations, PLM etc.)
- Build and maintain application insight documentation (eg. DC architecture, link design criteria, current solutions, future solutions, competition, alternative technologies, opportunity size etc.) needed to identify customer problem statements and shape our next generation HSDC solutions and services
- Become a subject matter expert for DC build strategies, financial performance, and business models.
- Active member of the broader multifunctional Hyperscale Datacenters account teams
- Participate in Hyperscale Datacenters /AI customer meetings as appropriate
- Support the Hyperscale Datacenters Application Insight Research Manager with executive presentations and updates as needed

The range for this position is $78,550.00 - $108,006.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
