The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Business Engagement Manager specializing in Supply Chain to join our team. In this role, you will act as the liaison between the IT department and the Corning Optical Communications (COC) Optical Connectivity Solutions (OCS) Supply Chain team, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency. You will be responsible for understanding business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and overseeing the implementation of IT projects that enhance our supply chain planning capabilities. The candidate will be key partner to the Corporate IT Service Lines and Support Teams. A couple of the key programs the candidate will be engaged in are the implementation of an Advanced Planning Solution for the COC division and COC’s ERP Transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Partnership: Serve as the main point of contact for the Supply Chain Planning team, understanding their needs, goals, and challenges. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Corporate IT Partnership: Serve as the main point of contact for the IT Supply Chain Planning support team. Prioritizing work, shaping bundles and projects, and assisting them with planning resources need for support and road mapped capability implementation.
- Requirement Gathering: Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and requirements, working closely with the Supply Chain Planning team to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with IT architects and developers to design and propose technology solutions that meet business needs. Ensure that solutions are scalable, sustainable, and align with the overall IT strategy.
- Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects related to supply chain planning from inception to completion. Develop project plans, allocate resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
- Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes. Provide training and support to end users as needed.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of supply chain planning systems and processes. Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring that they deliver high-quality solutions and services that meet business requirements.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that all IT solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and security policies.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT engagement or analyst role, project management, or a related role, with a focus on supply chain planning.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of supply chain planning processes and systems (e.g., ERP, APS, WMS) (e.g. SAP APO/IBP, Kinaxis Maestro, SAP ECC, SAP S4, SAP EWM). Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage projects, drive change, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills:
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.

The range for this position is $107,100.00 - $147,263.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
