The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Role Purpose
The IT Commercial DevSecOps Analyst supports the day-to-day performance, monitoring, and improvement of IT operations. This role involves analyzing security and operational data, maintaining IT systems performance, supporting IT security and service management (ITSM) processes, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and service delivery across infrastructure, applications, and support functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic security reviews and audits of infrastructure and applications.
- Assist in the identification and mitigation/remediation of security vulnerabilities.
- Document security protocols, processes, and incident resolution steps
- Monitor IT systems, infrastructure, and application performance to ensure high availability and operational continuity.
- Analyze ITSM data and operational KPIs (e.g., ticket volumes, SLA compliance, incident trends) to recommend service improvements.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure adherence to SLAs and performance targets.
- Generate weekly and monthly operational reports covering incident and change management, service requests, and system availability.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews for high-priority incidents.
- Maintain documentation of operational processes, configurations, and system health metrics.
- Assist with change management and deployment activities, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Support audit and compliance efforts by collecting system logs, configuration data, and reporting metrics.
- Identify and escalate recurring issues, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies in operations.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and operational insight to IT leadership.
Experiences/Education - Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices such as OWASP and NIST
- 2+ years in IT operations, IT service management, or technical support roles
- Experience with monitoring and reporting tools (e.g., Splunk, Power BI).
- Proficiency with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
- Understanding of ITIL practices (incident, problem, change, and configuration management).
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and associated management tools such as AWS Cloudwatch
- Proficiency in Excel or scripting for data analysis is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Certifications: ITSM certifications such as ITIL 4 Foundation, CompTIA Fundamental (ITF+), etc.
- Awareness of vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), CI/CD methodologies, and code version control practices
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

The range for this position is $77,067.00 - $105,968.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
