The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Scope of Position:
This role involves organizing and processing data from Splunk queries, migrating information into user-friendly interfaces, and leveraging tools such as Power BI, Qualys, and Active Directory to validate accounts access and ensure compliance during quarterly security audits. The technician will also develop planning and tracking tools for legacy server migration, coordinating closely with server owners to facilitate seamless transitions and maintain operational continuity.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze, clean, organize, and process data from Splunk query.
- Migrate data into a user-friendly review interface that supports addition, removal, and modification workflows.
- Utilize Power BI, Qualys, and Active Directory to verify user access permissions and validate security compliance for quarterly security audits, ensuring the integrity of all relevant data.
- Develop planning and tracking tools for legacy server migration processes.
- Coordinate with server owners to complete migration planning for legacy servers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year completed towards a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and data analysis.
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May 27th – July 31st, 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.

Required Skills:
- Solid understanding of data analysis and visualization methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Power BI or Power Apps.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with VBA, SQL, and PowerShell scripting languages.

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
