The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager specializing in Supply Chain Planning to lead and optimize our supply chain planning systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge in supply chain planning, hands-on experience implementing advanced planning tools (in particular, Kinaxis RapidResponse / Maestro), and a proven ability to collaborate with production planners, demand planners, and global planners. This role will require both technical expertise and functional understanding of supply chain planning processes to drive efficiency and innovation across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of advanced planning tools such as Kinaxis RapidResponse / Maestro.
- Ensure alignment between supply chain planning systems and business requirements.
- Evaluate system functionality and recommend improvements to enhance performance and scalability.
- Work closely with production planners, demand planners, and global planners to understand their workflows, challenges, and requirements.
- Design and implement streamlined supply chain planning processes to improve forecasting, production scheduling, and inventory management.
- Act as a liaison between IT and supply chain teams to ensure process alignment and technology adoption.
- Report to the IT Supply chain Global service owner to report out on Planning roadmaps, project initiatives and progress, and value addition activities.
- Oversee data integration from various sources into planning tools to enable accurate and efficient decision-making.
- Develop dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights into demand, production, and supply planning.
- Monitor key supply chain metrics and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning) for improved planning accuracy and efficiency.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain planning, IT project management, or related roles.
- Deep understanding of supply chain planning principles, including demand planning, production planning, supply network planning, and inventory optimization, including global supply chain processes and challenges.
- Proven experience implementing and managing advanced planning tool Kinaxis RapidResponse / Maestro.
- Experience providing system configuration, data modeling, and integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC or S/4HANA).
- Expertise in managing end-to-end supply chain planning processes including production planning, demand planning, and global supply planning workflows.
- Ability to work collaboratively with planners across different regions and functional areas to align processes and achieve shared goals.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Certifications in Kinaxis RapidResponse / Maestro, SAP IBP, or other relevant tools are highly desirable.
- Experience with SAP IBP desired.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for custom solutions and integrations is a plus.
- Knowledge of S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) and IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results and driving innovation.

The range for this position is $147,634.00 - $202,998.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
