The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Role Purpose

The IT Sr. Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing the cyber security program within the Optical Communications (OC) division. This role involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the division's digital assets, managing cyber risks, and fostering a collaborative security culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk analysis and reporting, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities and non-compliant devices.  Communicate findings to OC IMS IT and leadership.
  • Set cyber security metrics annually. Track and report against these goals. Hold meetings to communicate metric status, vulnerability concerns per site, and legacy remediation planning.
  • Monitor and document the lifecycles of operating systems and end-of-life software on manufacturing devices to enhance cybersecurity resilience.
  • Address zero-day cyber threats by coordinating remediation measures with the impacted devices and locations.
  • Attend Change Advisory Board meetings or review minutes and communicate any OC-impacting changes.
  • Participate in the Project Review Board meetings, provide council for any projects that could impact OC.
  • Support global security applications for OFC (GFMS and Keystone). Collaborate with vendors for changes or troubleshooting and manage version or server upgrades.
  • Participate in the Information Security Steering Committee and other relevant committees to provide strategic oversight and advocacy for information security.
  • Serve as the liaison to corporate Information Technology programs that impact manufacturing devices, applications, or processes.
  • Follow the OC process to handle Service Now Minitab software requests by redirecting requestors to Origin Pro, with the aim of limiting licenses and reducing costs.
  • Advocate for our team members when projects encounter obstacles by organizing meetings with key stakeholders to develop and implement an action plan to address the issues.
  • Support corporate cyber security initiatives through active participation in solution planning, communication, coordination of remediation, and tracking to resolution.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including IT, manufacturing, and legal, to ensure compliance with information security policies.
  • Educate employees on identifying and avoiding cybersecurity threats and promote a culture of security awareness.

Experiences/Education - Required

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related area.
  • 5+ years’ experience in information security management, preferably within a manufacturing environment, OR 5+ years’ experience in a related IT operations field supporting and managing critical business systems
  • Proficient in using analytic tools to capture metrics, display trends, and provide remediation reports.
  • Strong knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and lead effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Windows OS and manufacturing OT devices.
  • Proficient in Service Now, Qualys and/or Active Directory.
  • Familiar with PowerShell
  • Self-starter with strong accountability

The range for this position is $107,106.00 - $147,272.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
