The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Role Purpose
The Manager, AI Ideation & Innovation identifies and shapes high-value AI, automation, and analytics opportunities across OC. This role works closely with business leaders to understand challenges, uncover use cases, and translate them into structured opportunities for delivery teams.
The role also supports innovation efforts by helping teams explore bold ideas, evaluate practical use cases, and scale the most valuable opportunities in partnership with solutions and operational leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships across supply chain, finance, commercial, technology, manufacturing, and PLM
- Identify business challenges and translate them into AI, automation, or analytics opportunities
- Lead structured ideation with business leaders to generate, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities
- Help stakeholders understand practical AI use cases and realistic technology options
- Partner with adjacent leaders to move ideas from concept into delivery
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience across business functions such as commercial, manufacturing, technology, finance, or supply chain
- Experience identifying and shaping business opportunities involving AI, automation, analytics, or digital solutions
- Experience working across multiple functions and with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, or Manufacturing Systems
- Strong understanding of AI, generative AI, automation, analytics, and where they can create practical business value
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate between business needs and technical possibilities
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills across organizational levels
Experiences/Education - Desired
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience in a cross-functional matrix organization
- Experience with process improvement
- Familiarity with enterprise business platforms and AI capabilities
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or commercial environments
- Experience and passion working with data and AI tools

The range for this position is $178,553.00 - $245,511.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
