Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

 

The Manager, Digital Products & Platforms leads the OFC Supply Chain Solutions team responsible for ERP, MES, FIS, planning system, and digital platform capabilities across the global supply chain. This role develops and leads a team of supply chain systems experts, drives platform strategy and standardization, supports major transformation programs, and ensures digital capabilities enable business growth, operational excellence, and organizational scalability. The position is accountable for both delivery of digital outcomes and development of the technical talent required to support the OFC business for the next generation of growth.

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Lead Digital Platform Strategy & Execution

Develop and execute the roadmap for supply chain digital platforms, including ERP, MES, FIS, planning systems, and future technologies, ensuring solutions support business growth, improve reliability, accelerate change delivery, and enable enterprise transformation initiatives.

 

2. Build & Develop Technical Capability

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing organization of digital subject matter experts, solution architects, and project leaders while establishing a sustainable pipeline of talent, increasing plant-level capability, and reducing dependency on a limited number of specialists

 

3. Deliver Business Transformation

Provide leadership for the digital platform workstream across major initiatives such as Supernova, S/4HANA, Helix, APS implementations, and future growth programs by ensuring system readiness, resource alignment, risk mitigation, and successful adoption of new capabilities

 

4. Partner with the Business to Drive Value

Work closely with manufacturing, planning, logistics, commercial, finance, supply chain, and IT partners to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions that improve process performance, reduce manual work, strengthen standardization, and create measurable business value

 

5. Establish Governance, Standards & Operational Excellence

Drive consistent governance, prioritization, architecture standards, and continuous improvement practices that improve system reliability, increase change velocity, strengthen adoption, and ensure digital investments remain aligned to strategic business priorities

Required Education 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, with extensive experience leading supply chain systems, digital transformation, ERP, MES, planning, or enterprise technology organizations
  • Demonstrated success leading global teams, developing technical talent, executing large transformation programs, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering measurable business results through technology is required
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, manufacturing systems, planning tools, digital integration, and modern product-based delivery models is preferred

The range for this position is $126,595.00 - $174,069.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
