Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
We are seeking a creative and motivated Multimedia Intern to join our team. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience in multimedia production, including video editing, photography, 3D design, and digital content creation. The intern will work closely with our multimedia team to support various projects and marketing initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the development of a centralized asset library by cataloging and organizing existing 3D models and multimedia files.
- Assist in creating and editing imagery using software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Support video production, including lighting, shooting, and post-production editing
- Help with product and event photography in studio and field environments.
- Contribute to the creation and animation of 2D and 3D elements.
- Collaborate with team members on multimedia projects to meet organizational objectives.
- Maintain organization and management of multimedia assets.
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Multimedia, Video Production, Animation, or a related field.
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
- Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
- Be willing to work at the posted job location
- Experience or coursework in multimedia production, video editing, or animation is a plus
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Familiarity with 3D design and animation software such as Maya or Keyshot.
- Basic understanding of video production and photography techniques.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
Desired Skills (a plus but not required):
- Knowledge of studio photography and lighting setups.
- Experience with compositing and animating 2D and 3D content.
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
