Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Purpose of Position:

The Marketing Specialist, Elite Advantage Program and Everon Solutions Network is responsible for positioning Corning Optical Communications as the preferred partner with key integrators and architects, consultants and engineers (ACE) program members to enable sales growth, gain mindshare and extend Corning’s reach in the in-building network and data center space.

Based on the guidance and direction provided by the Marketing Programs and Customer Education Manager, this person will maintain ownership of the Elite Advantage Program (EAP) and Everon Solutions Network (ESN) Program and manage the relationship with our key integrators, architects, consultants and engineers participating in the programs. They will be responsible for executing all aspects of these programs including analytics/dashboards, partner communication, program changes/improvements, content creation, and co-marketing planning.

This person will also be responsible for collaborating with the broader, global marketing organization, market development, and the sales organization.  Reports to Marketing Programs and Customer Education Manager.  

 

Success Measured by:

  • Delivering results by meeting or exceeding targets and key marketing objectives.
  • Directly support key integrator and ACE partners to maintain, grow and identify new and existing opportunities. Grow through new leads/opportunities, new customers, and increased revenue at existing customers.
  • Generation of program marketing plans.  And, the corresponding completion of all the activities, on-time and on-budget.
  • Internal customer satisfaction – perform at a high level of quality, support, engagement, and connectivity to the extended team.
  • External customer satisfaction – convey the highest level of professional behavior to fulfill program member expectations of Corning as a preferred partner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Elite Advantage Program (EAP) and Everon Solutions Network (ESN) to support program members, including development of analytics/dashboards, partner communication, program changes/improvements recommendations, content creation, and joint marketing efforts.
  • Develop annual program marketing plans and support the execution of those plans.
  • Support IBN Core LAN, IBN Fiber Deep and IBN Wireless, and Data Center Marketing Plans by extending reach and force multiplying messaging through EAP and ESN, as applicable.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Market Development to ensure programs are aligned with sales goals.
  • Promote integrator training opportunities and manage training records in Salesforce for easy visibility and tracking.
  • Build relationships with key program members to stay connected to opportunities and market dynamics.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Corning Optical Communications’ products and solutions, their applications and value.

 

Travel Requirements:   ~20%

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA or equivalent degree
  • Experience with channel marketing and/or programs marketing
  • Three (3) years of Marketing Experience

  • Proven interpersonal skills
  • Must possess strong initiative and resiliency
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Competency in SalesForce.com, Marketo, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strategic account planning skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Desire to initiate new customer engagements
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20%.
  • Flexible and extended work hours may be required
