Purpose of the Position:

Assist in establishing a standard process for all gross to net activities affecting the distribution markets within COC. This role will be responsible for monthly analytics, forecasting, and auditing activities for these transactions, along with the necessary adhoc reporting requests. In this role you will be exposed to our customer’s financial counterparts and will interface regularly with customer care, sales, product management, and other finance members within COC.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate month end closing activities for the COC business unit pertaining to rebates and ship and debits, along with any other distributor promotional activities.
  • Assist to lead a sustainable process for ship and debit deductions from an execution, tracking and forecasting standpoint.
  • Manage and create a process to validate and audit ship and debits and a successful way to mitigate discrepancies.
  • Organize and develop documentation for processes established
  • Support rebate tracking and analysis
  • Process rebate payments and other promotional credits
  • Gain understanding of distribution process from quote to order to ship and debit to maximize process efficiencies and minimize financial loss.
  • Drives Division finance process improvement.
  • Provides ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Experience working on cross functional teams to solve complex business problems.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated ability to process large amounts of data into simple, easily understood talking points
  • Ability to be comfortable interacting and communicating with all aspects of the business, including plant staff and senior managers
  • Excellent problem solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people in different time zones/cultures
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint

Desired Skills:

  • Working experience with SAP, Salesforce
  • Performance Excellence experience (Six Sigma, lean processes) a plus;

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with Corning Incorporated, divisional finance teams and business customers/suppliers at all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable challenging supplied inputs and questioning existing processes
  • High energy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision in a fast-changing environment • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
