Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

This position is responsible for developing and executing the FR Distribution & Interconnect cables strategy to achieve desired product line financial outcomes for the Enterprise & OEM markets in the Americas region. Reports to the Director, PLM FR & Drop Cable. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
Define the vision and strategy for the product line, ensuring alignment with the company’s 5-year plan and financial goals.
Manage the product lifecycle, from inception to maturity, while maintaining a global portfolio perspective.
Develop annual product plans, including market analysis, risk mitigation strategies, and key initiatives.
Communicate product line strategy and performance across all levels of the organization.

Business Management:
Develop and maintain processes critical to profitable growth, including pricing strategies, forecasting, market analysis, and competitive assessments.
Collaborate with internal teams to align strategic growth plans, ensure supply chain readiness, and identify new product opportunities.
Lead pricing decisions for major RFQs and routine pricing activities.
Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify additional revenue opportunities through customer and market insights.
Operational Execution:
Lead cross-functional teams to execute annual plans and achieve business objectives.
Produce monthly KPI reports and ensure operational excellence in customer service.
Oversee new product development processes, including prioritization, financial justification, and resource allocation.
Partner with supply chain, commercial, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment and resolve competing priorities.
Impact and Collaboration:
Serve as the decision point between commercial, manufacturing, and technical organizations to optimize strategic and annual objectives.
Drive strategic initiatives and projects that support divisional goals while managing complex decision-making processes to maximize company benefits.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • BS or BA degree – Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Business, Data Science
  • Fluent in English
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, business planning, and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines efficiently.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a high level of work efficiency.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • MBA strongly desired
  • Greater than 3 years experience in Sales, Marketing, or Product management
  • Strong track record of success

The range for this position is $123,642.00 - $170,009.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
