Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Major Roles and Responsibilities

 

Reporting/Analysis

  • Collect, analyze, evaluate and communicate SalesForce.com forecast for Plug & Play product line opportunities, this includes maintaining the weekly forecast file, and scheduling and conducting the cable/component review with planning and supply chain to load opportunities.
  • Analyze and consolidate forecast data for monthly SnOP forecast process utilizing Cloud 9 within salesforce.com.
  • Compile and analyze reports from SAP Business Warehouse, Point of Sale, and salesforce.com to include financial and volume trends. These reports include the Backlog Report, the Order Entry Report, the Reason for Rejection Report, and the Invoiced Report.
  • Establish process for reporting forecast/pipeline changes and opportunity analysis trends.

 

Support Yearly planning and strategic projects

  • Support Americas Blue Line / 5% analysis with product line reporting & analysis.
  • Host quarterly team reviews for Variable Configurator priorities.

 

Product Line Support

  • Schedule and conduct weekly Operations/Capacity & Priorities meeting with PLM, Operations & Supply Chain.
  • Engagement with Sales and Planning for driving commercial/operations priorities.
  • Support Supply Chain in monthly cable review analysis.
  • Support Supply Chain, Data Management Organization (DMO) regarding ordering processes and part number management.
  • Support key product line strategic initiatives.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting as necessary.

Experiences/Education

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in collecting and analyzing data

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Previous work experience in PLM or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Ability to work independently as well as closely with others
  • Ability to creatively track down information that may not be readily available.
  • SAP experience
  • Business Warehouse experience
  • Salesforce.com experience
