Purpose of Position:
Drive end-to-end commercialization of scale-up connectivity solutions—from early customer engagement through design-in, proof-of-concept (POC), and production release.
Operate in critical partnership with Market Development and AIR to define where and how Corning wins—integrating customer requirements, product definition, and execution to accelerate adoption across hyperscale data center applications.
Serve as the central execution leader, owning the total system business case and aligning cross-functional execution to deliver results against aggressive customer timelines.

Key Responsibilities
1.Customer Engagement & Design-In
- Lead engagement with hyperscalers, ODMs, and ecosystem partners.
- Drive prototype development, design wins, and transition to production.
- Translate customer requirements into technical and commercial deliverables.
2. Program Leadership
- Lead cross-functional execution across commercial, product, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
- Manage program plans, milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment.
3. Solution Strategy
- Define value propositions and solution roadmaps for scale-up connectivity.
- Align offerings with customer requirements, use cases, and data center architectures.
- Enable consistent customer-facing messaging.
4. POC & Validation
- Lead proof-of-concept trials from planning through validation.
- Coordinate resources, manage risks, and convert successful outcomes into production decisions.
5. Commercialization
- Oversee product release, production ramp, pricing, forecasting, and profitability.
- Ensure readiness for commercialization and market adoption.

6. Business Case Ownership
- Own system-level business cases, including revenue, cost, and investment assumptions.
- Balance tradeoffs among cost, performance, timing, and scale to achieve financial objectives.
7. Innovation Leadership
- Drive innovation to address evolving customer needs and performance requirements.
- Translate capability gaps into prioritized development initiatives.
8. Manufacturing Readiness
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering to support builds, trials, and production ramp.
- Ensure scalable manufacturing readiness across capacity, quality, cost, and execution.
9. Architecture & Portfolio Alignment
- Align scale-up solutions with broader data center architectures and roadmaps.
- Manage inter-program dependencies, integration opportunities, and strategic alignment.
10. Execution Excellence
- Establish operating cadence, governance, milestones, and decision gates.
- Drive accountability, risk management, and informed decision-making through clear reporting and recommendations.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional programs
- Strong customer-facing experience, preferably with hyperscale or large-scale infrastructure customers
- Translates ambiguity into structured execution plans
- Strong business and financial acumen with ability to own system-level tradeoffs
- Demonstrated ability to drive decisions and outcomes
- Ability to influence teams to action without direct authority
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related technical field required
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred, particularly for candidates expected to operate as system-level business owners
Travel
- 25% travel on average, with surge periods, dependent on location of candidate. Domestic and international travel is expected, primarily to Hypers, OEMs, and ODMs.

The range for this position is $183,144.00 - $251,823.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
