The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Purpose of Position
Corning has sponsored a multi-year program to move our businesses & staff groups from a varied list of ERPs to SAP S/4 Hana. The Program’s Quality group is focused on supporting and improving the ERP Transformation Program’s Execution processes. Our approach to Quality includes both the approach to continuous improvement of our ERP solution: S/4Hana, MDG, GTS, GRC, Interfaces, etc. as well as the execution of the projects (methodology and execution) to transform each Corning Site/Group from their legacy ERP to SAP while meeting customer, applicable regulatory, and Corporate Compliance requirements. A program quality analyst will lead and/or support our continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, reduce cost and risk. The analyst will be responsible for working with and improving the data in our development tools, identifying root cause of identified issues, and improvements to the processes, reporting and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Use data to assess & improve our ability to meet customer expectations, applicable regulatory and Corporate Compliance requirements.
- Support the maintenance of our ERP Quality Systems to ensure compliance with IT policies and standards to enable ERP program execution.
- Define and support improvement initiatives to resolve known quality issues, reduce variability and introduce new processes/tools to improve efficiency.
- Develop methods/metrics to evaluate and continuously improve process capability and effectiveness.
Travel/Work Hour Requirements: Minimal travel & Evening meetings may be required depending on objectives.
Required Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree with technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality or Engineering
- Strong Communication skills, ability to effectively communicate and interact with others across various cross-functional teams
- Flexibility; ability to work in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
- Tactical /analytical thinking; problem solving with ability to extract or connect themes / conclusions across datasets
- Experience with Data analysis utilizing digital tools to understand and present information to explain the situation
- Self-motivated, high sense of urgency
Desired Education and Skills
- Knowledge and familiarity of internal (and external) manufacturing specifications, process capability, quality systems, and quality architecture development.
- Project management skills and experience successfully delivering projects
- Organization skills
- Understanding of, ideally certification in Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing systems.
- Desire to learn new technologies and leverage the tool’s capabilities to work differently
- Knowledge of IT systems and software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of ERP systems, specifically SAP S/4 Hana
- Experience in New Business Development, specifically in scaling a quality system and culture
- Ability to communicate to various levels of leadership and key stakeholders both written and verbal

The range for this position is $100,259.00 - $137,857.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
