Corning is looking for a talented individual to join their global supply chain team as a Regional Transportation Sourcing Analyst. This is an individual contributor role within the Global Logistics Organization (GLO) located in Corning, NY or Charlotte, NC
Job Scope and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing
- Support the analysis and execution of sourcing strategies for North America Trucking
- Meet business needs in cost, quality and service
- Ensure rate card compliance
- Benchmark Corning rates performance with market intelligence
- Perform analysis of spot bid performance of suppliers and activities
- Track actual savings of bid results
Supplier performance management:
- Support business operational requests in sourcing
- Manage escalations of supplier performance issues
- Develop and measure supplier performance (KPIs)
- Lead the analytics of business reviews with key suppliers
Contract Management:
- Oversee and complete timely renewals of contracts and NDAs
Corporate key initiatives:
- Develop supplier improvement program for underperforming carriers
- Drive sustainability program to achieve carbon footprint reduction
- Support requirements of key logistics initiatives including Freight Bill Audit and Payment, Visibility carrier report
- Enforce billing and payment process improvements with suppliers
- Contribute as a key member in Global Logistics strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and government regulations
- Perform additional responsibilities as required within the organization
Travel Requirements:
5% - 10% Traveling
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering. MBA, Master's in Supply Chain preferred
Required skills:
- Proven record of minimum 3 years experience in logistics sourcing, operations, supplier management, project management
- Preferred experience in data mining, analysis, reporting
- Innovative and analytical with good data processing skills
- Proficient with Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI (Six Sigma, lean desired)
- Collaborative skills with global stakeholders and across functions
- Willing to work under pressure. Accept challenge and meet project deadlines
- Serve as a change agent to develop, communicate, and execute new ideas and methods
- Result-oriented with good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.

The range for this position is $75,631.00 - $103,993.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
