Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Purpose of Position

Meaningful role where you will provide technical processing of the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) via the Xactly software tool. This position will be required to administer the Plan as set forth by Human Resources and Sales leadership, identify and recommend process improvements and deliver accurate sales incentive payouts in a timely manner.

Major Roles and Responsibilities

  • We collaborate with Sales Management to collect sales quotas and key selling objectives (KSO) for all sales employees and load these into Xactly on an annual basis. Handle this same data for terminations, transfers and new hires.
  • Build and issue annual plan documents for sales employees.
  • Program credit assignment rules into the Xactly tool. Update as needed to refine rules and reduce corrections.
  • Monthly build of data cube for SIP processing. Partner with Sales managers to identify new customers and update mapping files. Update product hierarchy mapping files.
  • Process monthly data through Delta and Xactly credit assignment.
  • Craft review files for managers. Confer with and guide managers to review credit assignment data, identify issues/problems and create correction requests.
  • We conduct quarterly review meetings with Sales Leadership, if needed, and load subsequent, approved corrections. Direct critical issues as required to resolve unapproved transfer/correction requests.
  • Collect quarterly KSO actuals and enter to Xactly.
  • Process and finalize quarterly data, obtain validations and approvals from Sales, Finance and HR. Issue statements to employees upon approval.
  • Collect, troubleshoot, report out and correct any errors identified by sales leadership.
  • Develop an annual processing schedule and communicate to sales managers.
  • Drive the subsequent year planning cycle.
  • Develop reports for use by sales managers and SIP admin team.
  • Provide continuous input to sales leadership on potential process improvements.
  • Confer with sales and human resources leadership on the impact of changes to the SIP plan regarding ability to process within the tool. Conduct modeling of new plans and provide analytics for review by leadership.
  • Work directly with Xactly support services to troubleshoot, resolve issues, request sandbox refreshes and to schedule around system maintenance downtime.
  • Continuous education about Xactly tool and SIP Plan standard methodologies.

Education

  • 4 year degree from a recognized college or university – technical degree or equivalent experience preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years commercial facing experience
  • Strong work ethic; able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to run, analyze and troubleshoot large data sets (> 1 million lines)
  • Strives to work collaboratively within a team and across multiple organizational units and key decision makers
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbal and written
