The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success. As part of the Integrated Planning Center of Excellence, the Global SIOP Process Owner acts as the strategic architect and driver of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) standards for Corning. This role is accountable for designing, deploying, adopting, and improving company-wide SIOP processes to achieve industry-leading standards, enabling business units to deliver exceptional results. The position involves developing SIOP frameworks, fostering adoption, benchmarking industry practices, and providing strategic guidance across geographies and business units.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain SIOP standards and governance across Corning. Create and maintain the SIOP playbook, capturing best practices and updated process designs.
- Develop and refine the company’s SIOP framework, including process steps, metrics, and integration with related functions.
- Lead the assessment of SIOP maturity levels within business units and partner and coach divisions’ leadership to define strategies to close gaps.
- Ensure alignment of the SIOP process with organizational goals and evolving market dynamics.
- Develop the strategic roadmap for SIOP maturity improvement for Corning divisions, aligning it with executive and business leadership.
- Design SIOP workflows, tools, and templates to standardize and streamline execution.
- Act as the primary liaison between corporate leadership and business units on SIOP-related matters.
- Build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, including finance, supply chain, marketing, and operations, to support SIOP outcomes.
- Facilitate productive dialogue and consensus-building in high-stakes, cross-functional settings.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to elevate SIOP efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor key SIOP metrics, ensuring measurable improvements in revenue, service levels, inventory, and profitability.
- Define competency models and oversee the training of business unit SIOP leaders and key stakeholders.
- Lead onboarding and capability-building programs to strengthen organizational SIOP expertise.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 15+ years of supply chain experience, with 10+ years in SIOP leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in implementing SIOP processes across multiple geographies and business units and integrating SIOP into broader strategic frameworks.
- Deep expertise in SIOP processes, including demand, supply planning, and executive reviews.
- Broad understanding of adjacent processes (e.g., order-to-cash, financial planning, portfolio management).
- Strong knowledge of integrated planning technologies and analytics.

Travel requirements:
- Expected travel of approx. 15-25% of the time, will periods of no travel followed by more intense travel requirements depending on business requirements

The range for this position is $154,680.00 - $212,685.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
