The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Role Purpose

Corning is seeking a highly skilled Identity Management Professional to join our team as a platform and solutions architect. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in architecting, deploying, and optimizing enterprise identity solutions using Microsoft technologies. This role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on experience, and a passion for driving secure digital transformation initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Microsoft identity and access management solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Identity Governance (IGA), Entra External ID, and support integrations and with on-premises Active Directory, and hybrid identity environments.
  • Oversee architecture for single sign-on and enhance automation efforts for application integration to Corning’s single sign-on platform adhering to policy and best practices.
  • Lead identity transformation projects, including migrations, cloud integrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and enforce security best practices for authentication, authorization, and identity governance.  Maintain internal roadmap to align with vendor solutions and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate identity solutions with business applications, cloud services, and third-party platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex identity-related technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Advise stakeholders on identity security strategies, compliance requirements (such as MFA, Conditional Access), and emerging trends.
  • Document solution architectures, implementation procedures, and operational guidelines and work with operational teams to incorporate into runbooks and operating procedures.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT staff and end-users as needed.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft identity and access management solutions or equivalent Identity Management Platform
  • Proven track record of successful technical implementations and enterprise-scale identity transformations
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Entra product family: Microsoft Entra ID, including Premium features (e.g., Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, Identity Protection), and Microsoft Entra Identity Governance (IGA)
  • On-premises Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Federation Services (AD FS), and Group Policy
  • Microsoft Entra Connect, AD synchronization, and hybrid identity management

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team including internal resources and external partners
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with Microsoft identity technologies

The range for this position is $123,662.00 - $170,036.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
