The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a ServiceNow Product Owner – ITOM / CMDB to lead the strategy, roadmap, and value realization of the ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) product portfolio.

 

This role is accountable for defining and executing the product vision that enables enterprise visibility, service mapping, event correlation, and AI-driven operational intelligence. The Product Owner will operate within a Product Operating Model and serve as the single point of accountability for ITOM and CMDB outcomes, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder alignment.

This is a high-impact role at the center of digital transformation, data governance, and AI-enabled operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Define multi-year ITOM / CMDB product vision aligned to enterprise architecture

Develop and maintain product roadmap across Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, AIOps, and CMDB governance

Align roadmap to CSDM 5.x standards and enterprise data strategy

Drive transition from project-based delivery to product-based lifecycle management

CMDB & Data Governance

Establish CMDB data ownership and certification model

Ensure CSDM alignment across Business Services, Technical Services, Applications, and Infrastructure

Define measurable CMDB health KPIs (completeness, correctness, compliance)

Lead CMDB lifecycle and relationship integrity strategy

Responsibilities:

AI & Automation

Identify AI use cases within IT operations workflows

Enable Now Assist / predictive models where applicable

Track automation rate, MTTR reduction, and event correlation improvements

Govern AI model quality and business adoption

Stakeholder & Governance Management

Facilitate product steering sessions

Prioritize backlog using value, risk, and effort scoring

Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Finance

Serve as escalation point for ITOM / CMDB product decisions

Experiences/Education - Required

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 

- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, including ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management) and CMDB. 

- 3+ years in a Product Owner or Product Management role. 

- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITOM modules, CMDB architecture, CSDM 4.x/5.x, infrastructure/cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), monitoring tool integrations (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds), API integrations, and enterprise architecture. 

- Experience in Agile/SAFe environments. 

- Excellent executive-level communication skills. 

 

Certifications (Must Meet)

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator

- ITL v3/v4

- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM

Experiences/Education - Desired

Preferred

- Experience with AI/ML use cases in IT operations. 

- Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in enterprise transformation programs. 

- ServiceNow Implementation Specialist and/or ServiceNow Application Developer certifications. 

- Strong ITIL and digital transformation background. 

- Scrum Master Certification or SAFe.

The range for this position is $149,110.00 - $205,027.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
