Role Purpose
COC P&A is seeking a Sr. Global FP&A Analyst. This position will interact with team members throughout the Global COC Finance function, Corning Shared Services, and Corning IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as leader and ensures appropriate training of colleagues, development / documentation of SOPs, and seeks to improve operation of the system. Leverages personal knowledge and manages network of other subject matter experts to deliver optimal finance process solutions.
- Actively partners with IT on management of ECC6 to S4Hana transition. Uses thorough understanding of ECC6 to ensure successful transition. Represents needs of finance and works across organization to ensure solutions are delivered.
- Helps guide COC Global Finance during One Stream go-live by anticipating sticking points and facilitate training and change management.
- Enhances utilization of Power BI and Data Bricks to improve reporting of actual results to Finance Leadership and beyond.
- Works with Digital Team to continue digitalization of repetitive and manual processes.
- Coordinates with MDM, EAS, IT, SAP-IT and CSS to maintain chart of accounts, mapping tables, and new BU/OU/Dept/Acct/Product Code/Profit Center requests. Works with Consolidations and Analytical Services to build, maintain, and periodically audit Divisional templates
- Supports monthly and quarterly closing and reporting for the global COC division – coordinating activities across the COC finance teams, addressing issues that arise, and ensuring execution of a timely close and accurate financials.
Additional Responsibilities
- Leads identification and implementation of process improvements to the closing cycle with the aim to reduce cycle time and improve execution.
- Partners with CTR and the broader Corning Shared Services team to identify and address issues, transfer work and train CSS on execution, and continuously improve CSS/CTR processes that affect COC.
- Performs monthly/quarterly reviews of financial reports and supporting documentation and has oversight for legal entity tasks including account reconciliations.
- Builds new and monitors/maintains existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for closing, reconciliation/task items and other general departmental accounting tasks
- May support other ad hoc projects in various leadership or support capacities. May work across multiple divisions to develop best practice processes.
Experiences/Education - Required
- 7 or more years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar

- High proficiency in SAP systems management required
- Strong knowledge of financial, manufacturing, management accounting, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment; developing and utilizing relationships to drive projects and objectives
- Ability to act under pressure in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and experience in other financial systems and tools such as Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point

The range for this position is $110,942.00 - $152,546.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
