The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success. It delivers the training, tools and opportunities needed to create innovative solutions for the function & the corporation. Role Purpose:
Manage a capital project strategic sourcing team for a global business-level capital portfolio, including team management for Strategic Sourcing Managers and Capital Buyers. Responsible for managing a project portfolio including Expansion of Business (EOB), Maintenance of Business (MOB), and Development type projects. Drive Capital Cost Reduction and Capital Project Performance efficiency through Best Practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Strategic Sourcing Managers and Capital Buyers.
• Project Management: Oversee large industrial capital projects (>10MM), ensuring project cost control, scheduling, and supplier negotiations.
• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans, manage bid and tender processes, and ensure well-developed statements of work.
• Contract Administration: Ensure contract conditions are met, manage supplier performance reviews, and handle claims and disputes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Capital Project Managers, Engineering, Sourcing Managers, and Buyers. Provide instruction on project management practices.
• Risk Management: Develop risk management plans and identify potential risks.
• Communication: Facilitate effective communication across teams and projects.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology and/or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in capital sourcing and contract administration.
• Skills: Project procurement management, strategic sourcing, contract language, business law, risk management, and supplier negotiation.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing equipment contracts, project estimating, scope development, and design stage gate processes.
• Travel: International and domestic travel up to 30%.
Preferred Certifications:
• CPSM or C.P.M.
• PMP

The range for this position is $155,614.00 - $213,969.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
