The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Position Overview:
The Senior Salesforce Developer is a key member of our global digital transformation implementation team, working closely with domain experts, business users, external partners, and internal IT teams to enable new capabilities and support ongoing enhancements for their complex SFDC environment(s).
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end technical oversight for Salesforce.com and related applications.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver integrated solutions to achieve specific project goals.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, ensuring project and DevOps teams are delivering sound, secure and stable technical solutions for Salesforce.com platform.
- Work closely with domain experts and supporting personnel to understand the underlying business problem or opportunity, previous approaches to addressing them, then recommending a solution that achieves the desired outcome aligned to established standards and strategic roadmap.
- Engage with functional stakeholders to analyze business requirements and objectives and translate them into scalable solutions on the Salesforce.com platform
- Ability to design (HLD/LLD) and develop custom solutions on force.com platform including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components and Application integration patterns
- Collaborate with other technical leads and team members to solve problems and provide creative solutions on SFDC platform, define technology roadmaps and specifications, share experiences and lessons learned for continual improvement
- Participate in system implementation projects including but not limited to requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution
- Provide project delivery: Organize and manage project work to drive predictable delivery. On-time and on-budget. Any impacts to other related systems are thoroughly documented and communicated on global projects.
- Provide work estimates that permit prioritization
- Demonstrate Salesforce capabilities by implementing Proof of Concept pilots and developing supporting documentation
- Remain current with Salesforce releases and evaluate and recommend new feature/functionality where feasible
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering, required; Master’s degree, preferred
- 7+ years of Salesforce solution development experience
Required Skills
- Ability to build Salesforce solutions on Salesforce Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Communities or Knowledge
- Experience in developing Salesforce customizations (Apex/VF), integrations, and to develop and execute data migrations
- Deep understanding of Salesforce concepts and best practices. Ability to understand business need and recommend the use of OOTB capabilities, Apex, Lightning Components to meet business requirement
- Experience in Salesforce Lightning platform which should include Lightning Components using the Lightning Design System framework, Apex, Apex data loader, and declarative platform tools. (Process Builder, Visual Workflow, Lightning App Builder, etc.).
- Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification
- DevOps, CI/CD tools experience
Desired Skills:
- Experience in interfacing with Salesforce applications for Tableau data visualization and business intelligence products
- Experience in integrating SFDC platform with ERP
- Experience in AppExchange products
- Great team player - flexible, embraces collaboration, works well with other team members, and maintain positive attitude
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation and negotiation skills, including ability to “translate” between business and technology needs
- Proven track record of application ownership and delivering solutions that make meet business demands and are technically sound

- Strong leadership and excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to develop and sell ideas

The range for this position is $106,678 - $146,681. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
