Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Architect will be responsible for end-to-end solution roadmaps in alignment between business and technology, solution architecture and overall design in Supply Chain related projects to ensure that business requirements will be satisfied by the most efficient and effective solutions and in alignment with our vision and strategy. This role is key to ensure that our E2E Supply Chain and E2E Planning Vision and architecture is fully connected with our SAP ERP program and supporting Corning total company and MAPs requirements.
- The Supply Chain Architect plays a key role in shaping the technology strategy by applying expertise in strategic analysis, business architecture, and technology architecture.
- This role requires a profound understanding how people, processes, and technology interact to perform fundamental business activities in both current and future states and model these interactions to guide technology strategy in order to achieve the strategic goals and objectives of the Supply Chain business.
- This role is highly visible and requires regular interaction with business and IT leadership.
Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:
- Cross-functional and cross-organizational Supply Chain Architect role working on supply chain solutions including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory management, planning, forecasting, replenishment, 3rd party logistics provider integration, device lifecycle management, retail, and web front-end systems integration.
- Develop, manage, end-to-end solution and technology roadmaps guiding the evolution of infrastructure, solutions, and services by applying depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines.
- Provide guidance and direction to project teams to ensure compliance with standards and best practices thru closely working with internal and external development houses and think tanks to invent things that have not been invented.
- Understand, leverage, and improve end-to-end supply chain business processes supported by various software solutions including SAP ERP, CRM, SCM and others Evaluate and recommend solutions and technologies for applicability to business and systems environment and interact with company senior and executive management to provide solutions for enterprise business requirements.
- Provide guidance and direction to project teams to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
- Mentor and guide team Business Partners on supply chain process improvement opportunities and related new solutions and technologies.
- Analyze and prepare recommendations to address existing and potential trouble areas in systems and procedures across the organization.
Requirements:
- 8 yrs or more of experience in Supply Chain Architecture
- Candidates need to have extensive experience as an enterprise level solution architect with interest and background in both the strategic and the hands-on aspects this role.
- Expert level understanding of the existing business systems landscape, state of the art supply chain software solutions, tools, technologies, data architecture, integration, web services, SOA, cloud and SaaS options are required to be successful.
- Candidates should also be familiar with ERP solutions, ideally SAP, and high transaction volume enterprise applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and consensus building are critical skills to be successful in this role.
Desired Skills, Competencies, Experiences:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Experience working with enterprise applications and ERP systems, SAP solutions preferred, including SAP ECC, CRM, SCM, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically as well as deliver hands on and in detail, which requires breadth and depth of expertise in supply chain business operations and related disciplines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English with business and technical audiences on all levels. Any other language skills are a benefit.
- Proven record of demonstrating proper judgment in managing difficult situations.
- Guide architectural focus groups by serving as a prime SME in the integration of SAP and non-SAP solutions encompassing Supply Chain processes.

The range for this position is $134,782.00 - $185,326.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
