Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Single contact point of MES related requirement in CQ plant 

• Analyze system requirements and business processes of MES system to meet user requirements

• Prioritize and management demand by following global IT demand process

• Coordinate the internal & external resources to provide the technical & functional solution for MES system

• Provide IT daily service by coordinate with global/Regional IT resource.

• In time response to urgent manufacturing issues

• Participate important plant activities as IT contact window

• MES system software & hardware maintenance including barcode system when necessary.

Education & Experience Require

• Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistic, Management related fields

• 5 Years’ or above hands-on experience in IT software development and maintenance

• Strong knowledge and maintenance experience of Manufacturing Execution Systems and manufacturing process

• Experienced working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing plant environment.

Desired Skills

• Camstar system experience will be plus Required Skills Business

• IAP awareness is required

• Good English & Chinese communication in speaking, writing and presentation is must

• Managing & measuring works - Capable of priority setting and multi-task management

• Manufacturing process knowledge Function/Technical

• Be familiar with the following computer skills:

• Software development tools like JAVA, C#, VB .NET, ASP .NET

• Relational Database System manipulation: system design and manipulation, SQL statement, stored procedures (Oracle, SQL Server experience is must)

• Solid experiences and knowledge in software development, system analysis, design or programming.

• Be able to conceive, communicate & implement IT strategies and plans

• Champions performance excellence and focus on quality - Identify & mitigate risks

• Defines and communicates critical standards & processes required to share/protect knowledge or information

• Be able to manage portfolio and support or manage executions of multiple projects
