Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and support manufacturing information system (include MES system, Warehouse management system, etc.) operation to meet SLA commitment
    • Break fix of manufacturing information system Incident (Handle L1 incident and escalate L2 incident to division IT if required)
    • Fulfillment of manufacturing information system Service Request
    • Conduct Incident root cause analysis and related improvement plan
    • Technique synchronization with division IT
    • Keep plant manufacturing information system compliance and alignment with Corning IT policy and standard
  • Conduct and support manufacturing information system base capability work
    • Collect and analyze business requirement from plant
    • Provide initial functional specification analysis and system architecture design
    • Participate base capability development, testing, debugging and implementation
  • Coordinate Corp, Division and Plant IT project in plant
    • Coordinate Corp IT Service Line project
    • Lead or support IT project initiated by Division or Plant
  • Other works required by CQ local plant

 

 

 

Education & Experience  

 

  •  
  • 5 or more years' experience managing and/or coordinating IT MES/ERP related applications, services, projects and/or operations
  • 10 or more years overall work experience
  • Preferred working knowledge and/or experience in Automotive or Manufacturing industry
  • Working knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following business processed: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Purchasing
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis and modeling
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Team player
