Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Support and improve inspection processes across Corning Display sites in China and other Asia locations
• Manage process standardization and governance.
• Monitor data to identify opportunities for gauge and process improvements.
• Work with QA and Engineering to define requirements.
• Enhance procedures and apply machine learning knowledge.
• Identify and resolve gaps between plant needs and capabilities.
• Coordinate technology transfer for new systems globally.
• Support supplier management and ensure compliance with confidentiality agreements
Required Education:
• BS Engineering degree or above
• 1-3 year experience in measurement or inspection field
Required Skills:
• Experienced project leader, preferably in the inspection field
• Open and engaging leadership style
• Strong process, systems and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work among a diverse/global group
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to travel internationally, up to 50% travel possible
Desired Skills:
• Experience with manufacturing, controls and automation equipment
• Manufacturing or quality experience
• Understanding of statistics
• Understand image processing alogism.
• Computer programming experience (Visual Basic, Visual C++, MS SQL Server)
• Machine learning experience such as Resnet, Yolo (not mandatary).
