Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Complex process equipment design and drawing detailing.
• Engineering calculations and reports
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Provide technical guidance to peers.
• Create modeling for structural/thermal/fluids problems.
• Evaluating the viability of incoming design changes
• Leading design reviews
• Reporting to supervision of trends, decisions, and test results
• Interacting with domestic and international operation sites.
• Work in a supervisory capacity for junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• We require a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field, MS preferred.
• We are seeking 5+ years of experience in equipment design role or equivalent educational experience (internship, co-op, etc.)
• Effective leadership, organization, and planning skills, with ability to handle changing priorities.
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated track record of on time delivery within budget; ability to drive projects to successful conclusion using influencing tools.
• Ability to lead international teams across multiple initiatives that span various lines of business, geographic borders, time zones, and cultures.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others.

• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing proficiency
• 2D CAD proficiency, Solidworks
• Project leadership
• Supervisory Experience
• Interacting with plant and vendor staffs. and leading the installation of proposed mechanical systems
• Manufacturing plant experience
• Materials science experience
• Familiarity with metal and ceramic fabrication processes Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in English

Travel:

• 30% international; 10% domestic
