Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.
Scope of Position
Internship within a Process Engineering department at a ceramic substrate manufacturing facility. The role includes planning, executing and participating in experimentation and projects to improve product quality, qualify materials, and improve process efficiency, with guidance and oversight from process engineering team members in the department. The experience will include hands on work and will provide valuable experience for the intern in developing their knowledge of applying engineering to make practical improvements in a manufacturing environment.

Required Education and Experience
Completion of Sophomore level undergraduate in engineering or physical sciences, ideally Ceramics or Materials Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Desired Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for pursing fundamental knowledge, combined with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Hours of Work
Your typical work schedule will be 8-5pm M-F although you should expect to have flexibility for off shift and weekend coverage is expected to support project assignments including overtime.
Required Skills/Coursework:
• Experience in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to build relationships and interact with all levels of the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information
• Results-oriented

• Prior internship.
• Exposure to a manufacturing facility.
• Basic data analysis skills and statistical understanding.
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
