Scope of Position
Provide administrative support to Business Technology Director (BTD), staff, and Development department
Responsibilities
- Calendar management for BTD/staff; assist with other department calendars as needed
- Travel arrangements to include international/domestic, as well as processing visa/passport requests, work closely with CIBT to ensure document processing goes smooth
- P-card and e-Procurement purchase requisition ordering/tracking
- Create/Distribute communications to organization on behalf of Director
- Create agenda and manage calendar for Weekly Staff Meetings and Department Meetings, facilitate meetings when needed
- Provide monthly IP stats and safety stats to BTD and Executive office
- Provide logistic and meeting support for relevant technology exchanges, facilitate meeting when needed
- Provide logistic and meeting support for annual Business Technology Review (rehearsals, presentations, posters) working closely with SP Events Team
- Space Planning tracking and support working closely with Space Planning coordinator and BTD
- Work closely with HR to onboard new employees and contractors and assist with logistics/tours for customer visits
- Provide Etad maintenance for department
- Work closely with people across all organizational levels and support groups to include Customer Service, Facilities, Trades and Events Team
- Work effectively as an individual, as well as a team player
- Support project leaders and scientists with procurement of materials and equipment
- Participate/lead other department initiatives (e.g., culture improvement teams)
- Be “first adopter” to test drive new technologies and processes and provide feedback on improvements prior to deployment to larger organization
Experiences/Education - Required
- 2-3 years previous experience as Director level administrative aide
- Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Detail oriented; able to multitask and prioritize tasks
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Concur expense report processing/approvals
- PeopleSoft e-Procurement
- Knowledge of phone and video conferencing system
- Flexible & Courteous
- Team player
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Prior experience with Corning Incorporated
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Science & Technology experience
- Consistency and continuity of performance
- Working knowledge of, Teams, ETAD, Space Planning, S.P.I.T.S., Concur, and SharePoint (internal Corning systems)
- Eager to take on “additional” responsibilities when requested

The range for this position is $60,570.00 - $83,285.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
