Position Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Pricing Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Glass Pricing and Commercial Manager, this role will support the development and execution of pricing strategies through data analysis, process management, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, thrive in a dynamic environment, and effectively engage with key stakeholders to drive business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field with 5+ years of sales, operations, finance, pricing or related experience
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, ability to dig into detail and manage complexity
  • Ability and willingness to work in the evenings to engage with international colleagues (multiple nights per week; weekdays only)
  • Experience maintaining databases and generating actionable reports
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Process oriented, ability to lead reengineering of processes
  • Ability to reinforce contracts and defend tough decisions

Desired

  • MBA or other Master degree/ equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of pricing methodologies and forecasting techniques
  • Strategy project experience
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com 
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as PowerBI is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders, including product-line management, sales, forecasting, finance, legal and operations, to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
  • Maintain and update pricing databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility of critical data.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide insights into pricing performance, trends, and opportunities.
  • Support pricing forecasts and contribute to strategic pricing initiatives by analyzing market trends, competitor data, and internal metrics.
  • Manage and streamline pricing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy while also implementing continuous improvement programs for process improvement.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from division leadership and other stakeholders, providing timely and accurate data, analysis, or recommendations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing pricing strategies to optimize profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Provide pricing guidance and support for commercial deal development and customer engagements by analyzing deal structures, pricing models, and profitability metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Assist with product line planning by providing data-driven insights on pricing, market positioning, and demand forecasts to support product strategy.

The range for this position is $99,433.00 - $136,721.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
