Role Purpose

The Auto Futures Strategy & Analysis Project Manager is a member of the Auto Futures staff that is building multiple profitable new growth businesses from innovations in glass, ceramics, and other materials.  This requires assessing technical and market trends, evaluating emerging business concepts, testing value propositions with potential customers, and building business cases.  S/he will also support strategic projects to strengthen existing innovations programs as they grow into profitable businesses.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain models for key technology (e.g. electrification, automation, connectivity) adoption in automotive and other mobility application.
  • Use models to identify potential business opportunities and develop business case and investment theses.
  • Support innovation projects with value prop assessment, competitive analysis, customer/ market feedback, industry landscapes, and product promotion and management.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • 5+ years prior work in techno-commercial functions including business analysis, business development, application engineering, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate and reach alignment across functional boundaries
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver insights that improve decision making
  • Ability to operate effectively in evnrionment with significant complexity and ambiguity

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Master's Degree or MBA
  • Strong analytical skills and synthesis capability
  • Participation in multicultural and/or multi-geographic projects
  • Ability to navigate across Corning's management network

The range for this position is $101,623.00 - $139,732.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
