Posting Title: CET Market Intelligence Manager - End Market

Job Location: Corning, NY

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage structural steel model (both light duty and heavy duty) to translate end market dynamics into CET substrate/filter products demand (both short- and long-term) and identifies supply chain inventory trends
  • Facilitate and take responsibility of annual platform tracker update and long-term market outlook to support division Greenbook process. Tasks include but are not limited to collecting bottoms-up inputs from account teams, conducting platform matching against 3rd party data, partnering with PLMs/account teams to close coverage gaps and build consensus on outlook
  • Collaborate with Competitive Intelligence team to reconcile CET share actuals and outlook and lead analysis projects as needed
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support and projects to address end market dynamics and support executive communications needs for senior management including Greenbook, Blackbook, and COR
  • Extend long-term understanding to develop 20-year outlook to support CET’s future strategy decisions
  • Manage 3rd party data vendors and consultants to build a comprehensive data set for synthesis and analysis and generate relevant market intelligence
  • Conduct exchange meetings with key market contacts and strategic customers (e.g. OEMs, catalyzers) to complement division’s insights

 

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Science or business related (any discipline)
  • MBA or master’s degree is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in a high tech or manufacturing environment in strategy, marketing,  operations or business development
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a large data set and affinity for rigor; able to distill data to a key insight 
  • Industry experience or demonstrated understanding of  Business-to-Business technology markets & the value stream down to the end-customer level
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills (verbal, written & presentation)
  • Project management, including superior problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage through systems; designs practices, processes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency of results
  • Demonstrated ability to work within matrixed  team structure across multiple functions, time zones and cultures
  • Organizational agility -  creates alignment and action plans to support strategies and recommendations

 

Travel:

  • Less than 10% travel, domestic & international
