Corning Shared Services (CSS) supports Corning’s global operations and delivers profitable growth through evolving processes, ensuring compliance and executing vital transactions. The CSS Coordinator, RTP, NA will be responsible for supporting the Requisition-to-Pay team in day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and AP Support transactions. This person must be process and controls oriented, open minded, and continuous improvement focused.

Scope of Position:

  • Supports RTP with daily AP and AP support transactions
  • Remains in adherence to CSS Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), and supports continuous and controlled improvement processes throughout span of responsibilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Remain in strict adherence with Corning Incorporated’s stellar compliance of financial policies, processes and procedures
  • Ensure financial transactions within ERP’s occur daily and in accordance to policy
  • Work with operations to process timely and accurate invoice entry
  • Support and provide data for internal and external audits
  • Demonstrated experience with large volume payment setup, initiation, and reconciliation
  • Ability to use commercial banking tools and payment interfaces to create, track, or repair payment transactions
  • Prioritize and organize within a daily schedule to ensure that all activities are completed per published deadlines
  • React swiftly to issues which may arise, to summarize facts and provide recommendations for timely resolution of critical issues

Required Education:

  • Associate degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Ability to interface at all levels within the organization and instill confidence and trust
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and/or Project Process improvement experience

  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deliverables/timelines in an effective manner
  • SOX compliance
