Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as “force multiplier”, maximizing effectiveness of SVP EIG to spend time identifying and driving strategic initiatives and delivering results
  • Support effective communications, helping the staff and their teams interpret, understand, and carry out the SVP EIG’s vision and strategic intent while providing constructive feedback on how to best prepare for upcoming engagements
  • Track strategic initiatives, including quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs) and milestones, and ensure areas behind plan are proactively identified and communicated as required to the SVP EIG
  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and options to the SVP EIG regarding decisions to be made or problems to be solved, serving as extra set of “ears and eyes”
  • Operate at tactical, operational, and strategic level to manage business rhythms such as governance processes, corporate leadership commitments, and customer engagements on behalf of the SVP EIG
  • Lead or assist in driving departmental processes, such as staffing, strategy, and budgeting
  • Serve as project leader for initiatives that do not neatly fit into existing organizational structure:
      • Bring forward strategic issues
      • Define and implement processes
      • Generate and analyze research and data
      • Consider strategic and tactical implications
      • Present recommendations, with action plans, and execute
  • Attend and facilitate complex, cross-departmental discussions to ensure that good decisions are reached and that decisions are carried out
  • Represent the SVP EIG as required in internal and external forums
  • Exercise exceptional discretion with confidential information to keep the SVP EIG apprised of key issues and, where possible, to keep the organization informed of priorities

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in engineering or technical discipline, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing/commercial or manufacturing environment, Corning preferred
  • Industry experience or demonstrated understanding of Business-to-Business (B2B) model
  • Proven ability to work within a matrixed team structure to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives and programs
  • Ability to drive and manage projects, demonstrating superior problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills in handling large data sets with a focus on rigor
  • Ability to distill complex data into key insights
  • Keen judgment with the ability to prioritize urgent and important items effectively
  • Skilled in managing systems, designing practices, processes, and procedures to ensure quality and consistency of results
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Independent self-starter who takes initiative to resolve issues and identify opportunities
  • Strong business and financial acumen 
  • Action-oriented and results-driven, both independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity to overcome obstacles
  • Resilient with poise and professionalism under pressure
  • Open to accepting and providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

The range for this position is $137,154.00 - $188,588.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
