Program manager Supply Chain collaboration planning

 

Scope of Position:

To increase end to end supply chain visibility, Corning is focusing on development of collaboration planning capabilities that include external customers to suppliers and enhancing digital thread flow across entire supply chain. Supply Chain collaboration planning Program manager will:

  • Define vision and strategy for corporate collaboration planning (CP), aligned with Corporate Supply Chain strategy to drive visibility and customer demand signal propagation across entire value chain
  • Leverage technology and expertise to lead execution of to-be / future-state with world class practices and benchmark
  • Introduce tools, techniques, practices, and analytics to further the performance
  • Coordinate across multiple businesses to champion change and drive adoption of collaboration planning
  • Develop and engrain corporate collaboration planning standards and culture

 

Collaboration Planning is one of critical Corning Supply Chain Council (SCC) Programs. As such, the role has a dual reporting line into Supply Chain Solutions Manager and the corporate Supply Chain Council Leads.

 

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy end to end collaboration planning capabilities and tools on corporate level that include external customer and suppliers partnership
  • Define As-Is and To-Be status for corporate collaboration planning processes and tools
  • Initiate and lead corporate projects and initiatives to enable collaborative planning tools and capabilities (trials, proof of concept)
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure adoption
  • Analyze results and understand key business planning processes to drive improvements
  • Monitor status and report progress to Corning SC Leads (CSCO, Supply Chain Council)
  • Continuously improve key end-to-end planning key performance indicators

Performance Metrics:

  • Fulfilment costs (transportation, inventory)
  • End to end inv value
  • Supplier performance and service level (OTIF)
  • Forecast accuracy

Travel Requirements:

  • Domestic and International travel as required

Required Education:

  • Supply Chain Masters (technical or university)

 

Required Years and Area of Experience: 

  • 15 years across various SC functions at senior roles (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Enable)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Collaborative Planning processes and tools (i.e: Aera) with external SC partners (incl. customer and supplier collaboration)
  • Experience in change management role (projects / initiatives)
  • Demonstrated track record of leading global SC programs
  • Certified Black Belt and lean fulfillment stream mapping experience
  • Experience working across cultures and in matrix organization

Desired Years and Area of Experience:

  • APICS Certification
  • Proven record of digital “planning” thread implementation across end to end supply chain
  • Demonstrated track record of leading multi-functional teams
