Scope of Position: Corporate Events is a team of event professionals who use strategic project management and solutions-oriented customer service to plan best in class events that support the company’s key initiatives and corporate calendar. The Corporate Events Coordinator will primarily assist Events team members to support high-profile company events (virtual, hybrid, or in-person) and manage team administrative processes. As assigned, the coordinator role may be asked to design, plan, execute, and complete post event follow up for smaller or lower profile company events. Special projects, as assigned.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Support assigned corporate events in adherence with established policies and processes to meet customer expectations.
- Partner with internal and external vendors, such as Catering, Media Services, IT, Global Security, Corporate Aviation, and external vendors/venues like the Corning Museum of Glass, to deliver high-quality events.
- Support travel planning for assigned events (i.e., flights, ground transportation, itineraries). Train to serve as backup for travel coordinator role.
- Support team administration (i.e. supply inventory management, event materials printing, etc.) • Under supervision, support work with internal procurement to manage existing suppliers (i.e. hotels, transportation) and negotiate contracts with variety of service vendors.
- Contribute to department time tracking and metrics program to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create, launch and monitor registration tools, onsite apps and other deliverables for assigned events. Leverage department technology platforms (i.e., SharePoint, room scheduling tool, Microsoft Office 365) for event and department assignments.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information gained while supporting meetings.

Travel Requirements:
- Up to 5% domestic travel Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
- Monday – Friday, standard business hours.
- May need to support evening or weekend events as needed.
- This is not a remote position.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Required Years and Area of Experience:
- Minimum of 1+ years of event planning experience Required Skills:

The range for this position is $42,663.00 - $58,662.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
