Role Purpose

Corporate Events is a team of experienced professionals dedicated to delivering best-in-class events that align with the company’s key initiatives and corporate calendar. Through strategic project management and a solutions-focused approach to customer service, the team ensures exceptional event experiences.

The Corporate Events Coordinator will primarily support events team members in executing high-profile company events across various formats, including virtual, hybrid, and in-person. The coordinator will also manage team administrative processes to ensure smooth operations. As needed, the coordinator may be responsible for designing, planning, executing, and handling post-event follow-up for smaller or lower-profile company events. Special projects may be assigned based on team needs or organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in coordinating assigned corporate events while adhering to established policies and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

· Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, including Catering, Media Services, IT, Global Security, Corporate Aviation, as well as venues like the Corning Museum of Glass, to deliver exceptional event experiences.

· Provide support for travel arrangements related to assigned events, including booking flights, organizing ground transportation, and preparing itineraries.

· Assist with team administrative tasks, such as managing supply inventory and printing event materials.

· Under supervision, assist with procurement processes to manage existing suppliers (e.g., hotels, transportation) and negotiate contracts with various service vendors.

· Contribute to department initiatives such as cost savings and metrics programs to promote continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness.

· Develop, deploy, and oversee registration tools, onsite applications, and other event-related deliverables. Utilize department technology platforms, such as SharePoint, room

scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office 365, to support event planning and departmental activities.

· Uphold strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information related to meetings and events.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Associates Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1+ years of event planning experience
  • Skilled in managing customer expectations and requests with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated strength in project management and organizational capabilities.
  • Highly focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven decision-making skills and sound judgment.
  • Adaptable and flexible, capable of thriving in a constantly changing environment.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • M365 Office
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven decision-making skills and sound judgment.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 5% domestic travel

 

Hours of work/work schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, standard business hours.
  • May need to support evening or weekend events as needed.
  • This is not a remote position.

The range for this position is $47,058.00 - $64,706.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
