Role Purpose

The Corporate Events is a team of event professionals who use strategic project management and solutions-oriented customer service to plan best in class events that support the company’s key initiatives and corporate calendar. In this role, you will work with company leaders to design, plan, execute, and complete post event follow up for key company events (virtual, hybrid, or in-person). Special projects, as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and execute assigned corporate events in alignment with established policies and processes, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.

· Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including planning, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up.

· Collaborate with a range of internal and external partners, including Corporate Food Services, Media Services, IT, Global Security, Corporate Aviation, and venues such as the Corning Museum of Glass, to deliver high-quality events.

· Manage travel arrangements for assigned events, including flights, ground transportation, and itineraries.

· Administer event budgets effectively to maximize value for the company and event participants.

· Build and maintain professional relationships with internal customers and vendors.

· Coordinate with procurement to manage existing suppliers (hotels, transportation, etc.) and negotiate contracts with service vendors.

· Contribute to departmental time tracking and metrics to drive ongoing process improvement and efficiency.

· Utilize the M365 to develop and manage event registration tools, onsite apps, and other essential event deliverables.

· Use department technology platforms (such as SharePoint, and room scheduling tools) to manage event-related activities and documentation.

· Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information acquired through event support.

· Key Decision Areas:

· Collaborate with key partners to develop and deliver impactful events.

· Apply and adhere to established processes and protocols throughout event lifecycle.

· Determine appropriate resources required to successfully complete projects.

· Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in all aspects of event management.

· Continuously seek and implement opportunities for process and service improvement.

Experiences/Education - Required

· Bachelor’s degree required.

· Minimum of 3+ years of event planning experience

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Solutions-oriented approach to managing customer expectations and requests

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively across diverse groups and all organizational levels

· Proficient in coordinating travel logistics, including ground transportation, air travel, and detailed itineraries

· Strong project management capabilities

· Exceptional customer focus

Hours of work/work schedule:

· Monday – Friday, standard business hours.

· May need to support evening or weekend events as needed.

The range for this position is $63,000.00 - $86,625.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
