Scope of Position:

  • Key member of CET North America customer service team
  • Primary liaison between customer and manufacturing for assigned accounts

 

Projects:

  • Customer Service related projects

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate order management process for assigned accounts including order entry, customer correspondence, transportation coordination, and payment resolution as needed.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships both internal and external
  • Work across commercial and manufacturing including planning and shipping to ensure customer requirements are achieved
  • Identify and act on supply issues so as to minimize the impact to the customer
  • Monitor and communicate key customer service metrics

 

Travel Requirements: 1-2 trips/year within North America

 

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:  8-5pm

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree strongly preferred
  • 3+ Years relevant experience

 

Required Skills:

  • Customer service and/or logistics experience in a similar environment
  • Strong organizational and process skills including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers (internal and/or external)
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve issues across multiple functions
  • Strong use of Excel; Other Database experience is helpful
  • Effective problem solver and detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm in the face of adversity
  • Previous experience with PeopleSoft Supply Chain or a comparable system

 

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Corning Environmental Technologies substrate business
  • Experience working with other cultures
  • Manufacturing and/or commercial experience
  • Proficiency with computer programs like Excel and Word
