As a leading developer, manufacturer, and global supplier of scientific laboratory products for 100 years, Corning’s Life Sciences segment collaborates with researchers seeking new approaches to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and compress timelines in the drug discovery process. Using unique expertise in the fields of materials science, surface science, optics, biochemistry and biology, the segment provides innovative solutions that improve productivity and enable breakthrough discoveries.
The Digital Marketing Specialist is a member of the Corning Life Sciences digital marketing team and supports website and email marketing programs, along with related analytics and reporting. Working closely with the Leader, Digital Content Strategy and other marketing subject-matter experts, this role helps develop, design, and execute website content and email marketing materials while building hands-on experience with digital tools and best practices.
Success will be measured by:
- Website: lead generation and engagement metrics
- Email marketing: lead nurture, MQL generation, and engagement metrics
Major Responsibilities:
- Website Content Management
- Publish and manage digital content for Corning Life Sciences web pages on Corning.com, as well as unaffiliated brands and other partner web sites
- Manage projects and routine content freshness updates with PLMs and other stakeholders to refresh and update Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content, as well as manage a division-wide web content expiration process
- Assist in identifying web optimization opportunities and coordinate with IT and vendor partners to support the testing and deployment of enhancements
- Develop working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and provide basic guidance and support to new AEM users, including users in other regions
- Work closely with the Leader, Digital Marketing Operations to support the development and execution of email marketing strategies, including newsletters, promotional campaigns, and nurture campaigns
- Support email campaign optimization for deliverability, open rates, and click-through rates using A/B testing and data-informed insights
- Assist with troubleshooting and improving processes within marketing automation platforms, escalating complex issues as needed
- Manage email lists and segment audiences to personalize content for engagement
- Help prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly campaign performance reports and highlight key insights for cross-functional teams
- Build knowledge of email marketing best practices and support global teams with regional email marketing efforts
- Analytics
- Compile website and email metrics for areas of responsibility using Google Analytics (GA) and Adobe Marketo Engage
- Use GA data to make recommendations for improving the website experience
- Work with corporate analytics team to develop new web KPI, dashboard strategies, and reporting tools
- Develop proficiency in web and email analytics and serve as a supporting resource for Corning Life Sciences teams
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a related field
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, communications, coursework, internships, or related projects; corporate experience is not required
- Basic familiarity with creating web content and an interest in learning web content management systems; experience with Adobe Experience Manager is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with analytics dashboards, such as Google Analytics, through coursework, internships, or hands-on experience is helpful
- Basic familiarity with email marketing platforms and email sending and testing best practices; experience with Adobe Marketo Engage is a plus but not required
- Introductory knowledge of HTML and CSS, including responsive email concepts, is helpful but not required

The range for this position is $63,000.00 - $86,625.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
