Corning Advanced Optics is seeking a visionary and execution-focused Division Data and Analytics Manager to lead data strategy, analytics delivery, and governance practices across the division. This role will serve as the key liaison between business functions and the corporation’s enterprise Data Management Organization (DMO) to ensure that data is managed as a strategic asset—maximizing its value, quality, and security. This role will be responsible for transforming data into insights that drive operational excellence while embedding robust governance and stewardship frameworks at all levels.

Responsibilities:
- Drive execution of division “data as an asset” strategy to enable value realization, profitable growth, efficient scalability, differentiation, and competitive advantage.
- Drive a culture that treats data with the same rigor and intention as financial, human, or physical capital.
- Identify high-value data domains and create roadmaps for improving their quality, availability, and business use.
- Lead team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and DMO in a solid line and dotted line (matrixed structure)
- Serve as the data governance lead for the division and coordinate with the corp./enterprise DMO to align standards, tools, and metadata practices.
- Implement and monitor data governance policies including stewardship assignments, data lineage, quality KPIs, and issue escalation.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data frameworks and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Oversee the creation of scalable analytics solutions, dashboards, and models to unlock value from internal and external data sources.
- Partner with business units to understand data needs, surface actionable insights, and enable data-informed decision-making.
- Track adoption and impact of analytics initiatives through defined KPIs and ROI metrics.
- Establish and oversee data stewardship processes to uphold data integrity across critical systems and workflows.
- Develop standards for data ownership, quality measurement, and issue remediation.
- Partner with IT to ensure that technical architecture supports reliable, governed, and accessible data.
- Team & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and grow a high-performing team of data professionals including analysts, data engineers, and data stewards.
- Build strong partnerships with division leaders, corporate IT, and enterprise DMO stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption.
- Educate stakeholders on the value of high-quality, governed data and foster a shared sense of accountability.
Education & Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, governance, or enterprise data management, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing data as an asset, including valuation, prioritization, and lifecycle stewardship.
- Strong command of data governance principles, metadata, master data, and data quality management practices.
- Proficiency in modern analytics platforms (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau), data engineering tools (e.g., SQL, Python), and cloud ecosystems or data engineering platforms (e.g., Databricks).
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or certification in Computer Science, Data Analytics, MBA, Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Information Management.
- Experience operationalizing enterprise DMO frameworks within a divisional or regional business unit.
- Knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards relevant to the industry (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, CCPA, CMMC, CUI).
- Experience with SAP Table structures, CDS views

The range for this position is $158,093.00 - $217,378.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
